IJMB

IJMB means Interim Joint Matriculations Board Examinations. It is a nine(9) months Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria moderated Advanced Level (‘A’ Level) program IJMBE is certified by Nigerian University Commission (NUC). IT is designed to solve admission menace of candidates as an alternative mode of gaining admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria 200 Level via Direct Entry without UTME/JAMB

Approximately 1.5Million candidates write Unified Tertiary AMetrifications Examination (UTME) conducted by Joint Admission Matriculations Board (JAMB) annually if it has been estimated that 65% of those who write the examination fail and 60% of the 35% who passes end up failing post UTME again. In other to reduce this menace, IJMB and JUPEB were initiated to offer a solution.

The above statistics also indicate the annual populations of prospective 100 Level students in Nigerian Universities. The competition is high owing to the limited vacancies available in these institutions. On the other hand, DIRECT ENTRY mode is less competitive. The entry requirements for this mode include ‘A’ Level (i.e IJMBE/JUPEB Result) ND, NCE, HND, and Bachelor Degrees. However, ‘A’ Level offers the best option is terms of durations (which is 9 months) and admission (into 200 Level) Hundreds of thousands of students have gone through the programs since inception and had completed their degree programs in their chosen Universities, both home and abroad. IJMB & JUPED is valid for life (it has no expiry date) compared to JAMB (UTME) that expires immediately after the admission and matriculations.
